7 Ways to Fear Silence – Doorly
Huddersfield lad Doorly is renowned for his genre spanning performances and technical wizardry which never fail to set alight dance floors the world over. His sets are an assortment of Dubstep, D&B, Techno & Electro (all the good stuff) and he refuses to be categorized. He also bosses his own aptly named Pigeonhole This! imprint which allows him the creative freedom to truly express himself without boundaries. He’s remixed for Dizzee Rascal, Basement Jaxx, The prodigy and has two Radio 1 Essential Mixes to his name. We caught up with him to pick his musical brain ahead of his performance at Stanton Sessions next Saturday on 23rd June.
Three for the floor…
Polkadot – Southside
Goes off every time on any dance floor – my secret weapon right now.
Mele – Beamer (Donk Version)
Such a great Track, so interesting and future sounding.
TWR723 – Future Tool (Bad Life)
Bosh! set intro right there!
Three for the sofa…
XX – Night Time (Greg Wilson Remix)
Beautiful music, top of my sex playlist.
Air – Moonlight Safari (LP)
I Just leave this playing on vinyl when I’m chilling, its endless and I find new depths with every listen.
Phil Collins – Easy Lover
Nothing wrong with a bit of soft rock & power ballads, try switching this from 45 to 33 on vinyl and doing some laughing gas! It sounds amazing!
One all time favourite…
